Texas County’s unemployment rate was steady in May compared to April, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
In May, the rate was 4.2%. That is up compared to the 4% rate in April.
According to the department, the county’s total labor force was 10,212 and employed was 9,781. (Total unemployed – 431)
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Dent (3.7), Douglas (4.3), Howell (4.6), Laclede (4.4), Phelps (3.9), Pulaski (4), Shannon (5.4) and Wright (5.1).
