The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
- At about 7:35 p.m. June 8, a deputy was dispatched to a Whitlock Road residence near Licking regarding a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officer made contact with a 40-year-old man and 68-year-old woman there who said a 33-year-old woman had assaulted each of them. A 7-year-old boy who was witness to the incident said the younger woman had started the fight by punching the older woman.
A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking charges of abuse of the elderly and two counts of domestic assault.
- Vikki L. Hebert, 53, of Highway B in Houston, was arrested May 31 for having an active Texas County warrant for two felony stealing charges and one felony forgery charge.
A deputy made the arrest at a Rusty Road residence in Houston after being advised Hebert was there.
During the process, she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, and a probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking a drug charge.
Hebert was taken to jail. Cash-only bond on the warrant charges is set at $5,000.
- Irene S. Williams, 49, of Airport Road in Cabool, was arrested June 6 for having an active Texas County warrant for a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor speeding charge.
A deputy made the arrest at Williams’ residence and took her to jail, where she was held without bond.
- A 73-year-old man reported forgery on May 30.
The man told an investigating deputy he is an insurance agent, and someone had used his national registration number to create policies for his clients they didn’t request.
The man said he didn’t know who might be responsible and he was working with his company to resolve issues for his clients.
