Hollis Tidmore, MD, a board-certified general surgeon, resigned from Texas County Memorial Hospital, effective July 9.
Dr. Tidmore has been part of the organization since April 2022, providing both inpatient and outpatient general and vascular surgery services. Throughout his tenure, he has held several positions, including chief of surgery, vice chief of medical staff, and most recently, chief of medical staff as of April 2025.
He is leaving to pursue his interest in becoming a surgicalist.
“We extend our best wishes to Dr. Tidmore in his future endeavors and appreciate the medical care he has provided for our patients and the community,” said hospital officials.
Surgical services will continue at the TCMH Professional Building – General Surgery, with Bryan Eck, MD, a board-certified general surgeon.
TCMH leadership is actively searching for an additional general surgeon to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality surgical care.
