A Houston High School science teacher is nominated for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s 2026 “Regional Teacher of the Year Award.”
Randi Wilson is among those under consideration.
“No one person has a greater impact on the education of a child than does the teacher who creates the learning environment where children flourish and grow. The mission of the Missouri Teacher of the Year Program is to honor, promote and celebrate excellence in the teaching profession,” said the state agency.
“Mrs. Wilson personifies that quote, creating a space of support and expectation for our students to grow and flourish. We are incredibly proud of the good work she does daily for our district,” the Houston School District said in a statement.
