Several area girls received scholarships and recognition at Miss Missouri competition held June 11 to 14 in Mexico, Missouri.
Aubrey Gorman, of Licking, was a rookie talent winner and received the Songbird Award for top vocal performance. The Miss Texas County Teen also received a non-finalist scholarship.
Tina Rossi, Miss Southern Missouri, won a non-finalist scholarship and a non-finalist top interview award.
Brooklyn Atterberry, of Plato, won a preliminary evening gown award and was a top-11 finalist. She was previously crowned Heart of Southern Missouri.
Deja Grissom, Miss Texas County, was fourth runner-up to Miss Missouri.
Local directors are Cassie Carter and Shari McCallister.
