A 43-year-old Plato man is held without bond after making alleged threats on Saturday, authorities said.

Nathan M. Groves, of the 13000 block of Prairie Creek Road, is charged with first-degree domestic assault, a class B felony, and unlawful use of a weapon, a class E felony.

A victim reported that he had threatened to crush her already injured leg and shoot her in the face, according to a report. A third party told Groves to leave, and the suspect made threats to kill himself, according to the report. He later insinuated that he was going to have a violent confrontation with law enforcement if they tried to arrest him.

Groves was later arrested without incident by military police at Fort Leonard Wood, where he worked.
