A Texas County man who is a registered sex offender faces a felony charge after a Licking Police Department investigation in early April.
David L. Woods Sr., 58, is charged with failure to register as a sex offender (a class E felony).
According to a probable cause statement, an LPD officer was dispatched to a room at the Country Inn Motel on April 10 regarding a report of a possible drug overdose.
Upon arrival, the officer made contact with Woods, who was at the scene. During the process, the officer determined Woods was registered as living in Bucyrus but had actually been living at the motel and had failed to report that to the Texas County Sheriff’s Department, as required.
Cash-only bond in the case is set at $10,000.
