In its latest report, the Cabool Police Department listed a range of activities, including traffic stops and responses to local incidents.
The department reported 33 traffic stops resulting in 16 summons issued. One arrest for a non-traffic offense was made. One warrant arrest was made.
On July 14, a 2007 GMC was traveling south on U.S. 63 when it struck the rear of a 2017 Dodge. No injuries were reported.
On July 15, officers were dispatched to an Ozark Avenue residence for a wellbeing check. Richard L. Michael, 49, of Cabool, was arrested for second-degree domestic assault and transported to the Texas County Jail. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.
In total, police handled one accident, two alarms, four animal complaints, one assault, one domestic violence call, one juvenile matter, one peace disturbance, one stealing/theft incident, one suspicious activity, assisted other agencies four times and assisted the public twice.
The fire department was dispatched 13 times.
