Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings July 9 and 10.

Members:

  • Reviewed and approved a contract with MARCO for printer services.
  • Reviewed and approved a liquor license for Cabool Retail LLC, dba Galaxy Liquor & Smokes.
  • Discussed Title III money with the sheriff.
  • Reviewed and acknowledged the hiring of Jonathan Durney as a full-time deputy collector/treasurer effective July 16.
  • Discussion concerning a municipal court and probate court decision involving an indigent client with the prosecuting attorney.

In other business, commissioners heard from:

  • No public comments, walk-ins or miscellaneous items were recorded.
