A Houston man faces a pair of felony charges after a Houston Police Department response on July 10.
Triten J. Lee, 23, of Horseshoe Drive in Houston, is charged with attempted stealing of a motor vehicle and attempted tampering with a motor vehicle (both class E felonies).
According to a probable cause statement, HPD officers were dispatched to the Houston Post Office on July 10 regarding a report of a man trying to break into a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers observed Lee, reportedly wearing only underwear, pulling on the door handle of a white truck. Officers observed that he appeared to be drunk, and he reportedly admitted the vehicle wasn’t his.
He was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail. During questioning, Lee reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol because his child’s mother wouldn’t let him visit the child.
Cash-only bond in the case is set at $1,500.
