A 19-year-old man from Willow Springs was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Route 160, about five miles west of West Plains, Troop G reported. It was one of four accidents reported on Independence Day in the nine-county region.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 1:17 a.m., when the teen’s 2016 Chevrolet Sonic ran off the right side of the highway and struck a tree.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. The vehicle was totaled.
