The Texas County Food Pantry is raising $5,000 in order to receive a dollar-for-dollar matching grant from Ozarks Food harvest, the regional food bank for southwest Missouri.
The funds raised in the effort will be used to provide food for people in need within Texas County.
The Food Pantry has until Dec. 15 to reach the goal, which would result in a total of $10,000. Businesses, organizations or individuals wishing to contribute can securely donate online at texascountyfoodpantry.org or send donations to 102-A East Route 17, Houston, Missouri, 65483.
Donations should be designated for the “challenge grant.”
