​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between Aug. 11 and 17, the Houston Police Department responded to 204 calls for service and initiated 27 traffic stops, resulting in three citations and 33 warnings.
- On Aug. 11, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of N. Grand Avenue for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, the officer learned the driver of the vehicle had struck a concrete wall and left the scene. The driver was located, but the victim did not wish to pursue charges. No injuries were reported.
- On Aug. 11, a citizen reported the theft of money from their vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Aug. 12, a citizen reported the theft of their purse from the 1300 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Aug. 13, officers cited Megan D. Miller, 36, of Houston, for allowing an animal to run at large.
- On Aug. 14, officers responded to the 300 block of N. Grand Avenue for a sudden death investigation. It was determined that the deceased subject died of natural causes.
- On Aug. 15, officers responded to the 1200 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a private property motor vehicle crash. One party left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Aug. 17, officers responded to the 600 block of Ozark Street for a reported theft. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Aug. 17, officers responded to the 100 block of South Oakcrest for a domestic dispute. Both parties agreed to separate for the evening.
