The Cabool Art Club resumed meetings after taking time off for the summer. The Sept. 16 meeting was held at the STARS Conservatory Community Room, resplendent in lovely fall decor.

Lyn Santa and Shelley Travis were the hosts. Roll call introduced the musical theme of the day as each member shared a memory about the first concert they ever attended.

Committee reports were given and plans were made for the October campfire evening. The primary topics of the business meeting were plans for “Christmas on Main” festivities scheduled for downtown Cabool on Dec. 6 and the Holiday Home Tour scholarship fundraiser. Members look forward to welcoming the community to this highly anticipated holiday event scheduled for Dec. 13.

The highlight of the meeting was STARS student teacher, Abigayle Peterson, in an educational and uniquely entertaining musical program, patiently teaching club members “The Star-Spangled Banner” in American Sign Language.

Members present were: Marie Beller, Pat Caywood, Felicia Ellis, Colleen Estep, Joyce Jones, Carol Pettijohn, Lyn Santa, Shelley Travis, Tracey Trettin, Gloria White, Vicki Woods and Sari Wright.

The October meeting will feature a presentation on coins.
