In its latest report, the Cabool Police Department listed a range of activities, including traffic stops and responses to local incidents.

The department reported 28 traffic stops resulting in 29 summons issued. Two arrests for non-traffic offenses were made. Two warrant arrests were made.

On Sept. 4, officers responded to a 2023 Jeep traveling east on Business 60 that slowed to a turn north onto Zimmerman Avenue and was struck from behind by a 2016 Ford. No injuries were reported, officers said.

In total, police handled one accident, two alarms, seven animal complaints, one civil matter, one juvenile matter, one peace disturbance, three suspicious activity incidents, one unsecured building incident, assisted other agencies eight times and assisted the public 14 times.

The fire department was dispatched nine times.
