Firefighters were able to save a Cherry Drive home Saturday in northwest Texas County.
The Roby Fire Department responded and called for mutual assistance from the Fort Leonard Wood Fire Department.
Firefighters were able to knock down an exterior fire and vehicle blaze quickly, said Trent Packer, Roby deputy chief.

He said the departments were able to save the majority of the interior living space from burning. The Evening Shade home did receive smoke damage and heavy water damage in the upstairs area.

Way to go Roby and FLW Fire departments! Thank you all for keeping the community safe.
