​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between Sept. 22 and 28, the Houston Police Department responded to 209 calls for service and initiated 40 traffic stops, resulting in 11 citations and 41 warnings.
- On Sept. 22, officers cited Alexander A. Guerra, 34, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
- On Sept. 23, officers responded to U.S. 63, near the Texas County Health Department, for a motor vehicle crash. A 2005 Peterbilt was traveling north on U.S. 63 when it ran off the right side of the roadway, down an embankment and struck a tree. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
- On Sept. 24, officers cited Petra M. Pena, 28, of Houston, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
- On Sept. 24, officers cited Tina L. Deshazo, 29, of Houston, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
- On Sept. 25, officers received a report of a motor vehicle theft. Upon further investigation, it was determined to be a civil matter.
- On Sept. 25, officers arrested Greggory A. Miller, 48, of Houston, on an active Texas County warrant per charges driving while suspended, failure to maintain financial responsibility and driving while intoxicated. Miller was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated after being unable to post the $1,500 cash-only bond.
- On Sept. 25, officers were called to a business in the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Sept. 25, officers arrested Kolton C. Morgan, 29, of Houston, on an active Texas County warrant per charge stealing-fourth or subsequent stealing offense within 10 years. Morgan was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated on a no-bond warrant.
- On Sept. 25, officers investigated a domestic assault that took place in the 400 block of Florence Street. A report was forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office for review.
- On Sept. 26, officers responded to a business in the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a series of thefts. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Sept. 26, officers responded to a business in the 1400 block of South Sam Houston Boulevard regarding the use of counterfeit currency by a customer. The company did not wish to pursue charges.
- On Sept. 28, officers were called to U.S. 63, near Holder Drive, for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
- On Sept. 28, officers received a report of a missing person. The person was located a short time later.
- On Sept. 28, officers discovered property damage at Westside Park. The matter is under investigation.
