​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between Sept. 1 and 7, the Houston Police Department responded to 211 calls for service and initiated 35 traffic stops, resulting in 11 citations and 37 warnings.
- On Sept. 3, officers cited Cynthia E. Torres, 64, of Licking, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
- On Sept. 3, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a reported theft. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Sept. 4, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a series of thefts. After completing an investigation, officers cited Sherri M. Ray, 58, of Bucyrus, with four counts of stealing under $750.
- On Sept. 4, officers responded to the intersection of Spruce and Fredrick streets for a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash. The 24-year-old driver experienced a medical episode, ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver refused medical treatment.
- On Sept. 5, officers responded to the intersection of U.S. 63 and Route 17 for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
- On Sept. 6, officers were called to the 300 block of N. Grand Avenue for a domestic assault. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Sept. 7, officers cited William J. Bender, 41, of Houston, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
