A Cabool woman reported she found a man in her home early Monday morning who later struck her in the back of the head with a gun.
The victim told authorities the man was requesting food at about 6 a.m. and might have been under the influence of something.
He was wearing a black hoodie and jeans and left out of the front door of the house just outside the Cabool city limits. The victim had called 911. A Texas County Memorial Hospital ambulance was canceled before arriving at the scene.
The Texas County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
