This letter is written in response to an article from the Sept. 18 Opinion Page.

I would like to commend Doug Davison for writing words so similar to my feelings. I lost my dear house cat, Goldie (aka Goldilocks), in May of this year. She was my dear furry faithful friend. She was a stray cat who won my heart and my hearth over the last eight years. All she ever asked for was a kind word and some loving strokes of her beautiful gold hair.

My point in writing this is the appreciation to the words Mr. Davison wrote in his recent Opinion entitled “Little cat fighting.” His words remind me of the old lesson to never take for granted the deep devotion one gets from friends in life. The friendship I was given when I welcomed Goldilocks into our family.
