The Houston Education Foundation (HEF) held its annual fall fundraiser Saturday, Aug. 30 at Piney River Brewery.
The organization raised about $5,000 through a cornhole tournament, corporate sponsorships, donations and drinks purchased at the brewery.

The Foundation has financially supported the school with the help of donations for almost two decades.
“We would like to give a special thanks to Piney River Brewing Company, Savor Grill & BBQ, Jeff Crites, Penny Shelton, Texas County Memorial Hospital, Amber Hooper, Town & Country Supermarket and everyone else whose donations and support make this event possible,” said Ryan Munson, president.
Sponsors supporting the fundraiser included J.J. Romines, Country Financial; Texas County Memorial Hospital, Shelter Insurance, Airika Barnett-Wiseman; Corner Express, Tammy Ramsey, realtor; and West Plains Bank and Trust.
