An Elk Creek motorcyclist was injured Friday morning in a crash on Highway U in southern Texas County.
Cpl. J.L. Dedmon said a westbound 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle struck a deer in the roadway.
The 23-year-old man, who the patrol did not identify, was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains with moderate injuries. He was wearing a helmet. The motorcycle had minor damage.
Members of the Clear Springs Fire Department assisted.
