Steelville Telephone Exchange – which purchased the city’s fiber internet program in April – is hosting a customer appreciation lunch on Sept. 25 in Houston.

The company’s communications team is holding the event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Emmett Kelly Park lower pavilion on Fourth Street. Those attending will meet team members and learn more about the company’s plans in town.

“STE is your new internet provider in Houston and we want to say hello,” said the company in an email. “At STE, we are committed to the communities we serve. We are a small-town company that serves small towns in rural Missouri.”

A picnic style lunch will be provided and free giveaways will take place.
