​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between Sept. 15 and 21, the Houston Police Department responded to 215 calls for service and initiated 34 traffic stops, resulting in 10 citations and 33 warnings.
- On Sept. 16, officers responded to Bryan Street for a vehicle that had struck an overhead cable.
- On Sept. 16, officers responded to the 400 block of Florence Street for a domestic assault. Both parties separated for the evening, and a report will be forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office for review.
- On Sept. 17, an officer received a theft report from a citizen. Items were taken from the rear of a vehicle as it was parked at a local business. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Sept. 17, an officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop for two posted stop signs. The vehicle failed to pull over for the officer and continued outside the city limits. A Texas County Deputy stopped the vehicle a short time later and arrested the driver, who was identified as Roger L. Counts Jr., 26, of Licking. Counts was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail on a Texas County warrant per charge of aggravated fleeing a stop or detention with a $2,000 cash-only bond.
- On Sept. 18, officers responded to the 300 block of S. First Street for a theft and forgery. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Sept. 18, officers responded to two local pharmacies, where a female suspect had attempted to pass fraudulent prescriptions. Neither prescription was filled, and the female fled the area. The female and her accomplice were located and arrested in a neighboring county a short time later. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Sept. 18, a juvenile was referred to the Texas County Juvenile Office after they were found to be in possession of THC.
- On Sept. 18, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a reported theft. Following an investigation, officers cited Perry Hulvey, 62, of Birch Tree, for stealing under $750.
- On Sept. 19, officers responded to the intersection of First Street and U.S. 63 for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and only minor damage.
- On Sept. 19, an officer cited Alexander L. Goebel, 28, of O’Fallon, for driving while revoked.
- On Sept. 19, an officer cited Stephanie Smith, 32, of Houston, for driving while intoxicated.
- On Sept. 19, officers responded to the 100 block of S. Grand Ave. for a domestic disturbance. Both parties agreed to separate for the evening.
- On Sept. 20, officers arrested Kyle Rector, 37, of Licking, on an active Dent County warrant for forgery, two Houston Municipal warrants for driving while revoked and peace disturbance, a Phelps County warrant, and three active Licking Municipal warrants. Rector was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated.
- On Sept. 21, officers responded to the 400 block of Florence Street for a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, officers arrested Cassidy L. Dodds, 19, of Houston, for failing to obey a lawful order.
