The Oct. 14 meeting of the Cabool Art Club was held at the Christian Church and hosted by Sari Wright and Pat Caywood.
Brad Miller, owner of R & S Rare Coins of Cabool, gave a fascinating and detailed presentation on the history of United States coinage. In addition, he showed examples of the uniqueness and fine craftsmanship of the coins. Club members had brought some interesting coins from home and Miller was able to provide some history and information as to the current valuation of these coins. He also shared his knowledge of using gold, silver and coinage as a strategy to preserve and shelter wealth and buying power.
The business meeting was led by President Shelley Travis. Treasury and committee reports were given. The primary topic of business was the Holiday Home Tours scholarship fundraiser Dec. 13. Plans for advertising and ticket sales were discussed.
The annual evening campfire event was Oct. 7 and hosted by Wright. Club members and family guests gathered to enjoy food, fellowship and fun. The scenic outdoor setting was made complete by the beautiful music of Rebekah Wolthuis on the guitar, assisted by her daughter, Alannah.

The November meeting will be a presentation on quilting.
