The Texas County Commission held meetings Oct. 8 and 9 at the Texas County Administrative Center in Houston. 

ITEMS FROM MEETINGS

  • Members signed a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) request for funds. 
  • The Commission was represented at meetings for the South Central County Commissioners Association, Regional Homeland Security Oversight Committees and new developments at Twin Cities Industrial Park between Cabool and Mountain Grove.
  • Commissioners heard updates from the maintenance department on tractor repairs, flagpoles and torch quotes. 
  • A phone conversation with state Rep. Bennie Cook, R-Houston, was held concerning a 250th anniversary flag.
  • Discussion with the county collector/treasurer concerning audit report findings and Tax Maintenance Fund accounts.
