The Houston City Council has notified three property owners to appear before it Oct. 16 to explain why buildings described as dangerous should not be repaired, vacated or demolished.

The properties – identified in a ramped-up effort to clean up nuisance properties in Houston — are listed as:

  • 405 Phelps St., commonly known as the Houston Mill.
  • 304 Pine St., a structure west of a gravel school parking lot.
  • 109 S. Grand Ave., a structure situated on the west side of Grand Avenue and south of a health food store.

A legal notice is published in this week’s Houston Herald.

The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at Houston City Hall.
