Between Oct. 6 and 12, the Houston Police Department responded to 220 calls for service and initiated 35 traffic stops, resulting in five citations and 38 warnings.
- On Oct. 7, officers found a juvenile in possession of marijuana. A report was forwarded to the Texas County Juvenile Office for review.
- On Oct. 7, officers cited William S. Whirreffs, 36, of Houston, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
- On Oct. 7, officers arrested Sharon L. Barton, 53, of Houston, on an active Texas County warrant per charge parole violation. Barton was transported to the Texas County Jail, where she was incarcerated due to the warrant having no bond.
- On Oct. 7, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. Following an investigation of the incident, officers cited Rayndii T. Tolliver, 30, of Cotter, Arkansas, for stealing under $750.
- On Oct. 8, officers cited Connie Cline, 38, of Success, for driving while revoked.
- On Oct. 8, officers responded to the 200 block of S. Grand Avenue for a peace disturbance. Following an investigation of the incident, officers cited Dal L. Campbell, 71, of Bucyrus, for peace disturbance.
- On Oct. 8, Houston officers, with the assistance of the Texas County Special Response Team, executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Bryan Street. During the search, narcotics and drug paraphernalia were located within the residence. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal charges on two individuals.
- On Oct. 11, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. Following an investigation into the case, the property was recovered and the victim declined to pursue charges.
