Between Oct. 20 and 26, the Houston Police Department responded to 170 calls for service and initiated 29 traffic stops, resulting in nine citations and 29 warnings.
- On Oct. 20, officers responded to the 200 block of S. Grand Avenue for a theft from a motor vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Oct. 20, officers cited Sean Welch, 39, of Houston, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
- On Oct. 20, officers arrested Shasta Allphin, of Houston, on an Edgar Springs Municipal warrant per charge possession of marijuana. Allphin was transported to the Texas County Jail for the warrant.
- On Oct. 20, officers conducted a traffic stop on Hawthorn Street. During the traffic stop, a substance believed to be methamphetamine was located within the vehicle. A report will be forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal charges on the 37-year-old female.
- On Oct. 20, officers responded to the 300 block of Pine Street for a domestic disturbance. The parties agreed to separate for the evening.
- On Oct. 21, officers were called to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a series of thefts. Following an investigation, officers cited Brian L. Wilson, 44, of Solo, for stealing under $750 for thefts on three separate occasions.Â
- On Oct. 23, officers arrested Brandon Rutz, 33, of Cabool, on three active Cabool Municipal warrants and two active Willow Springs Municipal warrants. Rutz was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated after being unable to post the required bond amount.
- On Oct. 23, officers were called to the 16000 block of Oak Hill Drive for a call of child endangerment. After investigating the matter, a report was forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal charges of endangering the welfare of a child.
- On Oct. 24, officers responded to the 1300 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a male subject who was causing a peace disturbance and refusing to leave the property. The male eventually exited the building, but attempted to reenter. The officers attempted to place the male under arrest for trespassing and he resisted arrest. Officers were able to place the male into handcuffs and transported him to the Texas County Jail. A report was forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for formal charges.
- On Oct. 25, officers cited Misty Smith, 36, of Houston, for driving while suspended.
