A 23-year-old Houston woman received moderate injuries in an accident late Saturday morning at Lilly Road and Route 17, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Tpr. T.L. Sullivan said a northbound 2014 GMC Sierra operated by a 17-year-old Houston boy failed to maintain a safe distance and struck a 2014 Toyota Corolla in the rear driven by the Houston resident, who was taken with moderate injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
The truck had moderate damage. The Toyota was totaled.
The patrol released no names.
Members of the Houston Rural Fire Department responded to the scene.
