A Minnesota man is charged with a felony after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation of a trespassing incident Oct. 6 at a woman’s house in the Elk Creek area.
Joseph Boster, 37, of Red Wing, Minnesota, is charged with harassment – first degree (a class E felony).
According to a deputy’s report, the officer was dispatched after a woman advised that Boster was on her property after previous encounters. The woman said Boster was acting strangely and was possibly under the influence of drugs, according to a report.
Upon arrival at the woman’s residence, the deputy made contact with Boster and immediately noticed he was mentally ill, as he spoke about being from different planets and was unsure if he was in Germany or other European countries, according to the report.
The officer verified Boster had previously been cited for trespassing, and she described how him being there had been an ongoing issue. She reportedly told the officer that during a previous incident, she had caught Boster peering through her window. He had stated the wind told him he needed to speak to her, according to court documents.
Bond in the case is set at $1,500 cash only.
