A Mountain Grove man was seriously injured Sunday night in an accident south of Lynchburg, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Cpl. Stacy Crewse said a southbound Chrysler Town and Country van driven by a 27-year-old Lebanon woman attempted to make a left turn into the path of a northbound 2000 Red Horse Motorworks motorcycle operated by a 61-year-old Mountain Grove man. The motorcycle struck the right side of the van at Routes 95 and KK, Crewse said.

The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The motorcycle was totaled. The van had moderate damage.
