Lonnie E. Womack, son of Ermel C. and Joan (Powell) Womack, was born Jan. 8, 1954, in West Plains, Missouri. He went to his Heavenly Home at the age of 71 years and nine months Oct. 8, 2025, at his home in Summersville, Missouri, with his family at his side.
Lonnie grew up in the Hartshorn-Summersville area and graduated from Summersville High School with the class of 1972. He later moved to Shelton, Washington, where he lived for over 40 years and worked dismantling aircraft. After his retirement, he returned to Houston, Missouri, to help take care of his mother.
Lonnie found companionship with Wanda (Young) German, and the two spent their days together faithfully. In his final days, Wanda, Lonnie’s children and the caring staff of Three Rivers Hospice made him comfortable and surrounded him with love.
Lonnie knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. He enjoyed spending his time putting together model kits and found joy in the detailed work they required. While living in Washington, he especially loved watching and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ermel and Joan Womack, and his brother, Donald L. Womack.
Lonnie is survived by his companion, Wanda German; his son, Noah and wife Rebecca Womack; his daughter, Patricia (Patty) and husband Aaron Kinney; brother, Keith and wife Marie Womack; sister-in-law, Susan Womack; and grandchildren, Abigail Womack, Isabel Womack, Andrew Kinney and Elijah Cummings.
Lonnie will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.Graveside Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at the Pine Lawn Cemetery in Houston with Pastor Gordon Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, at Bradford Funeral Home.
