Norman Eugene Lingo, age 92 of Plato, Missouri, passed away on Oct. 5, 2025. He was born on Sept. 9, 1933, in Evening Shade, Missouri, to Margrett Elizabeth (Sudheimer) Lingo and James Clabourn Lingo.
Norman graduated from Plato High School in 1951. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, where he earned the rank of lieutenant commander before retiring. His service and commitment were recognized through multiple commendations, including a Navy Achievement Medal with gold star. Throughout his life, Norman was also a dedicated farmer.

On Sept. 5, 1959, in Charleston, South Carolina, Norman was united in marriage to the love of his life, Florie Elizabeth (Robertson) Lingo. Together they built a life on faith, family and community.
Norman was a lifelong Christian and a devoted member of Palace Union Church. He loved his family, his church and his community — but most of all, he loved Jesus.
He is survived by his children, Mark Lingo, Dena Lingo Ross, Lewis Tittle Jr.; sister, Mabel Steward; grandchildren, Tracy Jones, Kathleen Brown, Matthew Brown, Denton Egger and Bailey Crossett; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Florie Lingo; brother, James C. Lingo Jr; and sister, Nadine Torre.
A funeral for Norman is 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at Palace Union Church. Burial followed the service at Palace Cemetery. Arrangements were under the care and direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. Online condolences may be left at www.evansfh.com.
