The Texas County Sheriff’s Department provided assistance to United States Marshals Tuesday to detain a wanted fugitive from Texas.

Jeramy Edwards, 42, is wanted on two felony counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle and a felony count of possession of a controlled substance out of Tarrant County, Texas, local authorities said.

The arrest, made at Nodaway Lane in the Evening Shade area, was part of Missouri’s Operation Relentless Pursuit program. Edwards was found hiding behind a false wall in an outbuilding on the property.

He is currently held in the Texas County Jail awaiting extradition.

According to officers, a female was also arrested on a hindering prosecution charge.

“It was a long day, but eventually the suspects were arrested without injury,” said the sheriff’s department in a social media post.

Other agencies assisting were the Missouri State Highway Patrol and its SWAT team, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department K-9 and officers from Operation Relentless Pursuit.
