Two inmates at the South Central Correctional Center at Licking died recently at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, the Missouri Department of Corrections said.

Lawrence Belk, 62, died at 12:41 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15. Trevaris Rachel, 32, died at 8:12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14.

Belk was serving a life sentence for one count of rape, two counts of sodomy, one count of first-degree sexual abuse, seven counts of armed criminal action, one count of kidnapping, one count of first-degree robbery and one count of burglary out of St. Louis County. Belk was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections Jan. 5, 1995.

Rachel was serving a 22-year sentence for one count of second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, one count of first-degree robbery and four counts of receiving stolen property out of Jackson County. Rachel was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections Jan. 24, 2017.

An autopsy will be conducted on both, the department said.
