The Cabool Police Department conducted 24 traffic stops that resulted in 14 summonses issued during the Nov. 17 to 23 reporting period.
On Nov. 17, officers were contacted by the Houston Police Department about a possible child abuse victim at Texas County Memorial Hospital. After investigation, officers considered the claim unfounded. The incident was passed on to the Department of Family Services for follow up.
In total, police handled two accidents, four alarms, four animal complaints, two assaults, assisted other agencies twice, two civil matters, one juvenile matter, a peace disturbance, gave one private escort and assisted the public once.
