The Houston City Council approved a general and performance-based pay increase for several employees during a Nov. 3 closed session meeting.
Members unanimously approved a three percent hourly pay rate increase and a performance-based increase for the following employees:
- John McCloud
- Bob Richards
- Steve Floyd
- Reid Long
- Brad Smith
- Dustin Hartman
- Zach Richards
- Freddie Sutton
- Kaleb Pritchett
- Mike Hock
- Jeremy St. John
- Keith Hamilton
- JD Burks
- Steven Westlund
- Dulcey Spurlin
Due to pending negotiations, the listed employees did not previously receive raises. Based on a wage study, the council determined these increases appropriate, said Mayor Sam Kelley. The five-employee electric department is still in negotiations.
Ward I Alderwoman Chelsye Scantlin was absent from the meeting.
