The Texas County Sheriff's Department was called to handle a variety of investigations.
  • On Oct. 31, A deputy was dispatched to a Highway M residence at Plato regarding an altercation between a 66-year-old man and a 47-year-old man.

Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the younger man, who was loading personal items into his truck. Contact was then made with the older man, who said he and his son had gotten into an argument over a bill the son had given him for a remodel on his house.

He said the son became upset and put a hole in the ceiling of the master bedroom, presumably with his fist.

The older man declined to make a report about property damage. Both men were advised of the 12-hour rule.
