The Texas County Food Pantry will mark its 35th anniversary of service during an event at 11 a.m. Nov. 25 at its location on East Route 17 in Houston.

The Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and it includes a proclamation from Houston Mayor Sam Kelley and a resolution from state Rep. Bennie Cook.

Persons are encouraged to help the pantry by donating a non-perishable item or making a monetary contribution.
