An Eminence woman was injured Monday morning when she swerved her westbound vehicle to avoid striking a deer, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The 54-year-old driver later overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a fence on Route 17 west of Union Chapel Road at Eunice.
She sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital, said Tpr. Sarah Swink. The vehicle had extensive damage.
