Members of the Texas County Commission held a meeting Nov. 26 to handle several matters. 

MEETING ITEMS

  • Commissioners reviewed and acknowledged the hiring of Spencer Doug Walls as a full-time deputy sheriff effective Dec. 1. Walls will attend the law enforcement academy starting in January. 
  • The commission also reviewed and acknowledged that Nicolas Talotta’s “at will status” as a full-time jailer is “no longer needed” effective Nov. 26. 
  • Marshall Barnard will transfer to a jailer position effective Nov. 26. Commissioners reviewed and acknowledged the transfer.
