Members of the Texas County Commission met Dec. 26 to conduct business.
Members:
•Held a discussion concerning complaints received from constituents related to offices not being open to serve the public outside the county’s official holiday dates.
•Reviewed notice of payment from the Missouri Department of Agriculture for the County Surveyors Cooperative Remonumentation Project, which establishes surveying corners.
•Reviewed a request for membership from Downtown Houston Inc. and a County Government Legal Services Program for 2026.
•Visited with Rep. Bennie Cook.
