FCS Financial, a farmer-owned and led cooperative, will issue a $35 million patronage refund to its member-owners.
The firm said this reflects the cooperative’s successful year and its commitment to sharing profits with Missouri farmers. This patronage distribution brings the total amount returned to members since 2006 to nearly $365 million. These funds directly benefit rural communities across Missouri, reinvesting in the agricultural backbone of the state, it said.
“Returning patronage funds is a direct reinvestment in the families and businesses that sustain our rural landscape,” says Robert Guinn, FCS Financial CEO. “When our members receive these checks, that capital flows back into local equipment dealers, feed stores and community businesses, strengthening the entire Missouri economy.”
Patronage payments are returned as cash directly to members, who invest and do business in rural counties across Missouri.
FCS Financial will host a Member Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. March 24 to allow customers to pick up their checks at their local office. Refreshments will be served. Attendance is not required to receive the check.
FCS Financial is Missouri’s largest ag lender and a member of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of cooperative lending institutions serving rural communities and agricultural producers for over 100 years.
