Between Dec. 15 and 21, the Houston Police Department responded to 183 calls for service and initiated 26 traffic stops, resulting in five citations and 24 warnings.
- On Dec. 15, officers arrested Austin J.W. Reed, 27, of Salem, on an active Texas County warrant per charge of failure to drive on the right half of roadway and an active Licking Municipal warrant per charge of failure to maintain financial responsibility. Reed was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he was able to post bond and was released.
- On Dec. 17, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Ozark Street for a domestic assault. Officers arrested Bennie L. Thompson, 31, of Houston, on an active Edgar Springs Municipal warrant per charge of driving while suspended and cited him for fourth-degree domestic assault.
- On Dec. 17, officers responded to the intersection of U.S. 63 and Oak Hill Drive for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported. One party left the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Dec. 18, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a reported theft. Following an investigation, officers cited Devyn A. Reed, 40, of Summersville, for stealing under $750.
- On Dec. 19, officers received a theft report from a local business. A suspect was identified, and a report will be sent to the Texas County Prosecutor seeking formal charges.
- On Dec. 19, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for multiple reported thefts. The investigation is ongoing.
- On Dec. 19, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a theft. Following an investigation, officers cited Phillip Meyer, 34, of Houston, for stealing under $750.
- On Dec. 20, officers responded to the 100 block of Acorn Lane for a domestic dispute. The involved parties agreed to separate for the day.
