The Cabool R-IV school board accomplished its agenda in short order at its regular monthly meeting Dec. 9.

The board was in open session for 12 minutes, approving a senior trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at the beginning of May and a new high school club — Random Acts of Kindness.

Minutes for the open session also included the approval of an evaluation of the technology program and approval of substitutes Kathleen Cleaves, Jenna Thompson and Rayne Kelley.

In closed session, the board accepted the retirement of elementary librarian Lisa Windsor and was informed of the termination of Cretia Ussery, a paraprofessional at the high school.

The board also voted unanimously to hire Sharon Monter as the high school head softball coach for the spring softball season. At last month’s meeting, the board accepted the immediate resignation of former head coach Cali Walls.
