James David Foster, 88, of Hillsboro, Missouri, passed away on Dec. 4, 2025. He was born on Nov. 5, 1937, in Yukon, Missouri, to Isaac and Ruby Foster. 

A 1956 graduate of Houston High School, Jim served in the U.S. Navy and later retired from General Motors after a 30-year career.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Foster; his parents; and one brother, William Dale Foster. He is survived by his children, David Foster, Mark Foster, Judy Eckert, Sherry Starkey and Jackie Brandt; siblings, Alma Thomas, Sheila Miller, Don Foster, Bobby Foster and Dorothy Perkins; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 15, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life and inurnment at Shepherd of the Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation in honor of Gianna Wacker.
