The Cabool Fire Department was among the agencies that responded Thursday night to a report of heavy smoke from a Mountain Grove business.

The report came at about 6:30 p.m. at West Gate Trailer off Business 60, authorities said.

The first arriving unit confirmed heavy smoke throughout the building. Mutual aid from Mansfield, Cabool and Norwood was sought. Crews were able to gain access to the structure and entry crews were able to locate and extinguish the fire.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.

Firefighters were on scene until about 10 p.m.
