A Cabool man escaped injury Thursday afternoon in a Taney County accident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. C.B. Henderson said an eastbound 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by the 21-year-old Cabool man failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 2021 Mazda CX-30 operated by a 79-year-old woman from Forsyth.  The accident was on Route 76 about one mile south of Forsyth.

She was taken by ambulance with moderate injuries to Cox South in Springfield.

The truck had moderate damage, and the Mazda was totaled. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
