The Cabool Police Department handled 13 traffic stops from Jan. 19 to 25 that resulted in three summonses issued.

On Jan. 20, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Oak Avenue in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined that two subjects who were working together on a construction job got into a verbal altercation that turned physical, officers said. Both parties had minor injuries and each wanted to pursue assault charges against the other.

The following calls were handled by officers: animal complaints (12), assisting other agencies (3), accidents (2), alarms (1), civil matters (1), escort transportation (1), juvenile matters (2), peace disturbances (1), private escort transportation (1) and public assists (13).
